"AeWeb" Browser Interface for AutoEDMS

For our customers needing remote access to their drawing and document data, Logical Systems is proud to announce “AeWeb 2022”, a new browser-based interface for the AutoEDMS document management and workflow system. AeWeb allows remote users to search for and view drawings and documents from their mobile devices such as tablets and smart phones, or from desktop or laptop computers.

Searching capabilities are much improved over the early “Web Publisher” interface as originally designed by ACS Software, Inc. – in AeWeb you can use one of the “Pre-defined Search” options which are custom queries, just like you already use in the AutoEDMS desktop interface.  One major benefit of AeWeb is that you can fine tune these pre-defined queries for your remote users without the need for web programming or the assistance of your IT department!  

​AeWeb also offers a “Query Search Builder” option to allow on-the-fly changes in search query, as shown in the screenshot below.  This feature is useful when a user wants to add search criteria which will narrow down the number of ‘found documents’ in the results list.

​Metadata stored in the AutoEDMS database can be viewed by using the “Document Form View” feature as shown below.  Form View also allows display of data on multiple pages (tabs) of the AutoEDMS form.

​Drawing/document viewing for AeWeb is provided by the “Brava! Enterprise” HTML5 viewing system from OpenText. With Brava!, remote users have full-feature viewing capability, including zoom and pan, for the multitude of file types being managed with AutoEDMS... CAD drawing files, MS Office documents like DOC and XLS, PDF files, and graphics files like TIF and JPG, etc.
